MindMirror Tests ("we", "the site") is a small collection of fun, entertainment-only personality quizzes — for couples, friends, solo players, and pet owners answering on behalf of their pets. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site handles and why. Questions about anything here: [email protected].

Your answers stay on your device

Quiz answers are processed in your browser to calculate your result. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or date of birth. (The Birthday Match test uses only a month and day that you type in, calculated in your browser.) Duo pairing codes work on the device where the first player answered.

Pair links are the one exception. If you start a two-person test and use the pair link, both partners' answers are stored on our server under that link's random, unguessable token — that is what lets each partner answer on their own phone and lets both phones open the same result. If either phone unlocks the full report, the unlock is recorded against the same token so both phones see it unlocked. Treat the link like a photo link: anyone who has it can view that pair's result, so share it only with your partner. No names, accounts, or contact details are attached to a pair record.

What is stored in your browser

The site uses your browser's local storage for functional purposes only:

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this site; the only effect is that this device will "forget" your unlocks and invite progress.

Payments and unlock codes

Paid reports are sold through Gumroad. Your payment details (such as card information) go directly to Gumroad and its payment processors — we never see or store them. When you enter an unlock code on this site, the code is sent to our server, which checks it with Gumroad's license-verification service; our server may keep ordinary technical logs of verification requests (such as time and whether the code was valid) to prevent abuse.

Invite rewards

When a friend opens a solo deep dive using an invite code, our server records the redemption together with the random device ID described above, so the inviter's progress can be counted and bonus rewards issued automatically. This counting uses no names, accounts, or contact details.

First-party statistics (no third-party trackers)

To understand which tests people enjoy and where they drop off, our own server records a small set of first-party events: that the site was opened, which test card was tapped, when a test was started and finished, the result band or type you landed in, whether a paywall was shown, and whether a report was later unlocked (by purchase or invite code — never the code itself). Each event carries the random device ID described above, a rough device type (phone or desktop), and where the visit came from (the referring site and any campaign tags in the link you arrived with).

Cookies and advertising

The site itself currently sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies; the local storage described above is functional, first-party, and stays in your browser.

In the future, we may show ads through Google AdSense or a similar advertising network to help keep the free quizzes free. If we do:
