What this test is about
Answer 12 questions about how your feelings actually behave: the unsent drafts, the read receipt you pretend not to watch, the song that ruins you a little, the text you send anyway. Each answer scores 0–3 points; your total places you on the spectrum from 1 to 10 — nonchalant at the low end, yearner at the high end.
What's free, and what's deeper
Free: Your place on the spectrum and the first two sections of your report — the level reading and the evidence from your own answers.
Go deeper: The Deep Dive ($2.99) unlocks your pattern in depth: what your end of the spectrum is genuinely good at, the quiet cost of running it, and small, specific moves for your level — whether that's letting yourself want things out loud, or keeping the cool without going cold.

Frequently asked questions
What does 'yearner' mean?
It's the internet's word for someone who feels it fully and shows it: wants the person, says so, double-texts without a crisis meeting about it. Its opposite, 'nonchalant', is the unbothered act — sometimes genuine calm, sometimes a costume. The internet currently votes yearner: wanting things out loud is having a moment, and this test finds your spot between the two poles.
Is being nonchalant bad and yearning good?
Neither — it's a style spectrum, not a grade. The Ice-Cold Nonchalant is unshakeable and never begs; the Full-Time Yearner never misses a chance to actually connect. Every level's report reads its genuine strengths first, then the honest cost side — the cool that reads as distance, or the yearning that hands your whole mood to a reply speed.
Can my place on the spectrum change?
Constantly. The same person is nonchalant at work and a Level 9 yearner at 1 a.m.; a new person, a secure month or one bad situationship can slide anyone a few levels. It's a snapshot of your current settings — retaking it in a different season is half the fun.
